1. Is past experience required for course?
No. This course is designed especially for beginning shooters. Too often beginning shooters have developed bad habits they have picked up from others that must be unlearned to become a better shooter. Also, most people realize the first gun they purchased was not the best gun for them. It was just the best gun the store had for them. We teach you how to select the best gun for you depending on your size, strength, and intended purpose.
2. Do I need to have a pistol to join the class?
No, we provide laser-based training pistols for practice. Pistols are available for rent at the shooting range.
3. Is live fire training part of the class and will I receive a certificate?
Yes, live fire training is part of PTI’s class and is required to receive an NRA certificate. The CRPA lecture material is identical to the NRA material but the live fire session is not required for the CRPA certificate. The NRA certificate is required to enroll in the Personal Protection classes offered by Protect The Important.
